Lackawanna County Voter Registration
The office is responsible for all facets of the Election process in Lackawanna County.
The Voter Registration Office processes voter registration forms that are submitted directly to the office or sent to the office from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Driver’s License Bureau. The office sends out, receives and processes all applications for Absentee Ballots in both the Primary and General Elections, and is responsible for the printing accuracy for said ballots for all respective offices in our County. All official Absentee Ballots that are returned to our office are then delivered to their respective polling locations on Election Day.
Candidates seeking public office must file their petitions along with a statement of Financial Interest in the Voter Registration Office. Campaign Finance Reports are also available in the office.
The Voter Registration Office maintains the lease agreements and a list of polling locations within each district. Every Election, the office is responsible with equipping each polling location with the necessary supplies to administer the Election. Through a coordinated effort with the Voting Machines Department, all voting machines are prepared for each individual polling location and delivered to their proper areas of voting.
