Recycling and Clean Up
Recycling is available every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

There is also a dumpster for metal items.

Accepted

Newspaper (including inserts), Magazines, Catalogs, Office Paper, & Junk Mail.

Stack in brown paper bag or tie. Remove hard covers from books and metal binding from spiral notebooks. If it’s paper you would write on, you can recycle it.

Corrugated Cardboard

Break down boxes. NO pizza boxes or cereal boxes will be accepted.

Glass (Clear, Green, Blue & Brown)

Rinse out. Labels may be left on. Throw away lids. NOTE: NO glass windows, mirrors or ceramics are accepted.

Aluminum & Bi-metal Cans

Rinse out. NO paper bags or plastic bags. Throw away lids unless attached.

Plastic Bottles & Jugs (#1 & #2)

Rinse out. NO paper bags, plastic bags, or #3, #4, #5, #6, or #7 plastics, as they will contaminate the material.

Not Acceptable

We do not accept the following: Margarine tubs, deli and yogurt cups, plastic and foam dishes, plastic bags, bakery boxes, light bulbs, plate/window glass, drinking glasses, ceramic cups, plates and cookware, flower pots, paint cans, motor oil/chemical containers, cereal boxes, food wrappers, bubble wrap, tyvek envelopes and books.

Please remember:

1. Only the materials listed on each container can be placed in the bin for recycling.

2. Please hold onto anything that won’t fit into the proper bin if it is full, so it can be deposited correctly the next time. Placing materials in the incorrect containers can contaminate the load and make it unsuitable for recycling.

3. Please take home any materials not listed for proper disposal. Leaving bags of materials outside of the bins is considered illegal dumping.

4. Do not recycle oil, antifreeze and butter tub containers at the drop-off facility. Remember to separate all materials.
