Jefferson Township is a rural community that comprises 35 square miles and includes 6.5 miles of Interstate 84 (east and west), which bisects the township. We have a population of 3,592 residents, according to the 2000 US Census Bureau report. This number increases during the summer months with seasonal residents. Our community includes an Elementary School, three churches, four restaurants, three gas stations, and several miscellaneous manufacturing, retail facilities and  farms. Our community is steadily growing with three new community developments.
